Abraham Membership

At the PHC we recognise that we live in a diverse, rainbow coloured, multi- faceted and multi- cultural society that is ever changing. In order to respond to the needs of both our community and the broader community we developed The Abraham Membership- the first in South Africa.

The Abraham membership is an “Identity Membership”. Allowing gentiles who feel an affiliation or connection to the Jewish community to be part of the community, whether they are married to Jews or not. They are friends of the Jewish community and are welcomed with a warm embrace.

We have developed a unique membership ‘package’ that integrates the Abraham Members into the community whilst retaining the community’s commitment to Orthodox Judaism.

We are proud that we already have a number of Abraham Members and the numbers continue to grow.
